First: Determine if the School Board is aware and on board with this project. Give them a call introduce them to our site, Literacy is something they will be aware of. Determine the schools in your area and the number of Grade 3 students.
Second: Give the target school a call or drop by to arrange a delivery date.
Third: Get your books ordered (dale@rotarycares.org) only $2.00 a book.
Fourth: Have books & labels dropped off to the school for names to be put in.
Fifth: Organize your delivery team, prepare your script be sure each and every book is handed out in person by a Rotarian. Be sure to include a book mark.
Sixth: Present the school with a certificate to be hung in the front office.

Finally: Ask the Principal if he or she could send an awareness brochure home to all the families in there school.
Note: Be sure to remind the Principal you will be back next year, late September early October.
